Preposition Poem

Behind the pantry, the little mouse sat.
Behind him his tail quivered.
In front of him, the cats nose moved from side to side.
Between the mouse hole and the mouse the cat positioned himself.
Away from the pantry, between the cats legs, the little mouse raced.
On top of the mouse, one giant claw stood, the cat purred with glee.
Under her paw all that was left was a piece of little mouse cheese.
Inside his house the little mouse slept, safe as could be.

  • Freckles and stripes, speckles and spots. The nicest of creatures love polka dots. Look at the leopard, the ladybug too, and

any zebra you see in the zoo.

The dappled giraffe stands on delicate legs.

And thrushes and swallows lay speckled eggs.

Nature is fondest of stripes, spots and speckles

and that is the reason I don’t mind my freckles.
